On 18 Feb 2010, over 90 NCO's from the Republic of Korea and United States Military Services joined together for a night of Fun and Camaraderie. The event was hosted by the NCOA Korea- Dragon Hill Chapter. Sponsors included, MWR Business Operations Division, Kwons'
Engraving Shop, BMW Korea and Good Neighbor- Mr. Kang, Dae-Ki.

The night began with an overview of the night's event, then a buffet Dinner. After dinner, ROK and US Military History Trivia Game was played. A short break was taken, and then an overview of both the NCOA's were presented by Chairman Joseph Terry. Information was provided in both English and Korean Languages. Drawings were conducted throughout the evening. Prior to the end of the evening a Team Scavenger Hunt Game was played. Prizes were given to the winning Team. Teams were made of both ROK and US Members.

Attendees included the following: CSM Robert A. Winzenried UNC/CFC/USFK & Eighth United States Army CSM, CSM Kevin N. Witt IMCOM-Korea CSM, CSM Michael A. Sherlock Special Operations Command Korea CSM, CSM Ryu, ROK JCS CSM, CSM Lee, Yuman GCC / CFC CSM, SMA(R) Lee, Tae-jun, 5th ROK SMA, SMA(R) Yoon, Joong-ki, 9th ROK SMA and CSM(R) Choi, Yoon-ok, Former FROKA CSM(Current ROK NCOA President)

Several other 4 Star Level Command Sergeants Major from the Republic of Korea were in attendance along with Several US Major Subordinate CSMs.  This event had a two-fold purpose; First to continue to build on the strong Alliance between the Republic of Korea and US NCO Corps. The second purpose was to begin a partnership between the NCOA Korea- Dragon Hill Chapter and the Republic of Korea NCOA.

The ROK NCOA is officially recognized and approved by the Korea Veterans Association under executive order. However, it has a short history. They just started in 2009. Their Headquarters of ROK NCOA is located in Dongdaemun, Seoul and has its branches across all provincial and
metropolitan areas of the country. They provide instructors to active-duty service members and ready-reserve forces to foster nationalism, loyalty, and sound personal values. The ROK NCOA upholds NCOs' dignity and reputation. The ROK NCOA provides instructors to university courses related to national security. Their NCOA is an organization that aims to facilitate mutual support between NCOs, advance national development, and promote the well-being of the greater
retiree society. The ROK NCOA's social activities include financial support to members of NCOA and financial aid to soldier-students. NCOA organizes visits to units across the country for the preservation of their motivation.



A Souvenir Pen and Towel were given to all in attendance to commemorate the evening. The evening ended with a Certificate of Partnership presentation from NCOA Korea-Dragon Hill Chapter NCOA Chairman Joseph Terry to Mr. Choi, Yoon-ok; President, ROK NCOA. Both Associations
pledged to continue to build this partnership.
